The Commemorative Summit Marking the 15th Anniversary of ASEAN-China Dialogue Relations, the 3rd China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) and the 3rd China-ASEAN Business & Investment Summit (CABIS) will be held in Nanning, Guangxi Autonomous Region of China during the peroid from October 30th to November 3rd, 2006. The Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, P.R.C. is to take up applications of and give accreditations to the foreign journalists intending to cover the above events. Journalists from the ASEAN Member Countries should register with their relevant authorities, who would send the list of applicants to the Information Department through the Chinese embassies in those countries. Journalists from other countries and not based in China should submit applications to the Chinese embassies or consulates in their countries with confirmation letters of their headquarters. Foreign correspondents based in China should submit applications directly to the Information Department. At the same time, please be noted that all foreign journalists interested in covering the above events should register and submit the application forms online at the Chinese Foreign Ministry webpage for the Commemorative Summit: http://asean-chinasummit.fmprc.gov.cn.

The deadline for the application is October 15th. The information on the press arrangements, time and place to pick up the press cards will be released later on the Chinese Foreign Ministry webpage for the Commemorative Summit.
